Jack Barnes Shout out to the woodlands management team past and recent! Although much of what I ventured onto was plantation, it felt sympathetic to the surroundings. Loved seeing so much clusters of Birch, interestingly they were the first trees to begin inhabiting ancient Britain. Plenty of variety of fungi throughout the woodland for all you mycologists! which is also a good indicator of a healthy ecosystem;)

SlumberBeast Herne Bay Pier has everything you need for a proper seaside day out. There are loads of little shops selling all sorts of fun things you never knew you wanted, tasty spots to grab a bite, and even an arcade that happily eats your spare change while you chase a stuffed toy that you’ll never win. The rides add a nice touch of nostalgia, and the whole place has a cheerful, old-school charm that just makes you smile.

Kate Douglas Wildwood is fantastic to visit and I loved coming back for the first time as an adult. I used to go here all the time back in the early 00s with my parents and decided to pop back in for the nostalgia trip this afternoon. The park is really well laid out and clearly signposted so that you can decide exactly how much you want to see on each visit. I can see how this would benefit young families managing play area time and toilet trips in between viewing the animals. There are a great range of animals to see and they are clearly very well looked after. I appreciate that while most of the enclosures can be viewed from all sides, the animals are given plenty of places within to retreat to should they wish to get away from the people. That being said, I was impressed at how many were awake and moving around given that it was a cold winters day. All in all, a great half day out for an adult or full day for a family. Fab value for money that is clearly being invested back into the park.

Nichola Wheatley A great new years day adventure, it was cold but we were given a free hot drink and the animal didnt seem to care, lots were out and about, a friendly otter came to see us, as well as the red squirrel, elk, lynx, wallabies, artic foxes, bison, owls and lots more. We saw the polecats and bever snug in their burrows and caught the wild cat and wolves feeding which was a bonus.

Dane Visited their Stone Age exhibit. What an insane collection of flint hand axes from the local area they have. Truly a collection that rivals some of the big museums in London. Some amazing artefacts from different eras too! Amazing little museum and a must visit!
