Andy Hoare A short walk via a stoney path may not be ideal for everyone. There is a decent car park with a cafe and toilets which were popular and clean on our visit (BH Monday). It was great to explore the site. However, the buildings were locked. Not cost to enter.

Hannah Bennett A fascinating underground tunnel, the exact history of which is lost to time but believed to be the castle’s Barons wine cellar! Open days run by the Wealden Cave and Mine Society, a super friendly bunch of active explorers with super knowledgeable and friendly guides who will show you all the interesting bits, like cheeky old graffiti or the oldest date on the wall. Nice large passage and always close to surface so not claustrophobic. A few steps underground but flat steps and there us a hand rail in most parts. Great for all the fanily!

Lisa Moulton Highly recommend visiting Reigate caves tour when available (see their website for dates). Run by dedicated, enthusiastic and friendly volunteers. Had a very enjoyable time and our tour guide was an expert and so knowledgeable. You could easily imagine what it was like for folk years ago. There was also a well presented museum like self guided tour on the opposite side of the tunnel, which amongst other events showed the usage during the II world war.
