Sergio Portillo The Armoured Heart is a sculpture that is unavoidable to see if you are visiting Reading and walking right next to the river. Even though it is just a "sculpture" it is a heart that was built with blades from all the knives that they have collected according to the information provided right next to the sculpture. This is really interesting as normally no one would do much with the blades of knives but this was a really great way to reuse that material that was once used for violence to repurpose and reshape it into an Armoured Heart. This sculpture is also located right next to the river and in an area full of shops, restaurants and bars.

Steven Case Great place to go for a walk at any time of year, even when it is partially flooded. I very often see the kingfishers at certain points around all lakes. I cannot wait until the warmer months where i can get the paddleboard out again.

HB Gaming Knockout Escape rooms are one of the best escape rooms we have ever done. We did ‘Mad Scientist’ and the room was very clever and intuitive. The puzzles were great and required a lot of brain power. One of the best parts of our experience was Winter, our games master. He was helpful, funny and really added a lot of value to our experience. He’s one of the main reasons why Knockout Escape Rooms has climbed to the top of our list. We will definitely will be back and will be requesting Winter to be our games master, the best we’ve had!

Ionut Panescu The Museum of English Rural Life in Reading is a hidden gem thats both educational and genuinely enjoyable for all ages. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of farming and rural life in England. It’s fun for kids, with plenty of interactive displays and hands-on activities that keep them engaged throughout the visit. One of the highlights is definitely the live chickens outside, a big hit with little ones and a charming touch that brings the rural theme to life. The staff are friendly, the space is well-maintained, and there’s a welcoming café on site. Highly recommended for families or anyone curious about the English countryside!
